Are there any surfaces I should avoid cleaning with Bathroom & Shower Cleaner?Updated 4 days ago
TL;DR: Bathroom & Shower Cleaner is designed for bathrooms. It is safe on sealed tiles, grout, glass, chrome, taps, basins, bathtubs, acrylic and fibreglass shower trays, and most bathroom fixtures. It is not food-grade, so use Kitchen Grease & Oil Cleaner or Universal Cleaner for kitchen worktops and food-prep surfaces. Spot test natural stone. Avoid unfinished timber and aftermarket glass coatings.
Are there any surfaces I should avoid cleaning with Bathroom & Shower Cleaner?
⚠ Use something else for these
Food prep surfaces, because it is not food-grade. Unfinished or untreated timber. Natural stone without spot testing first, because marble, travertine and limestone can react to cleaners. Aftermarket glass coatings or tint films. Any surface flagged by the manufacturer as incompatible with water-based foam cleaners.
What surfaces can I use it on?
✓ Safe on most sealed bathroom surfaces
Shower screens, glazed tiles, grout, bathtubs, basins, taps, shower trays, fibreglass, acrylic, stainless steel, chrome, painted surfaces. Spot test first if in doubt.
What should I use for kitchen surfaces instead?
✓ Two better options for the kitchen
Universal Cleaner is the everyday kitchen spray-and-wipe for worktops, splashbacks, stainless sinks and hobs, with a damp rinse afterwards on food prep surfaces. Kitchen Grease & Oil Cleaner is formulated for heavy baked-on grease around extractor hoods, ovens and hobs. Rinse after use.
How do I spot test a surface?
✓ Three-step spot test
Pick a hidden area. Behind a cistern, under a shelf, or inside a cabinet. Somewhere a mark wouldn't matter.
Spray, wipe, wait. A small amount, wiped with a clean cloth, then a few minutes to see what happens.
Check before you commit. Look for colour change, dullness, etching or softening. If anything looks off, don't proceed.
⚠ Especially important on these
Natural stone such as marble, travertine and limestone. Older or aftermarket glass coatings. Any surface you are not sure about. If in doubt, check the surface manufacturer's own guidance before you clean.

Twelve ingredients, gentle pH 8, made in Australia. Dermatest tested and Sensitive Choice approved. For bathrooms, not food-prep surfaces.
