Twist off the trigger head and check that the internal tube is still firmly attached.

Soak the head in warm water for a few minutes.

Submerge the head and pump the trigger quickly for about thirty seconds so warm water runs right through the mist path.

Reassemble, prime with two or three pulls, and test the spray.

✓ Most common cause

A very fine mist runs through a narrow path, so residue collects. Essential oil residue in the nozzle is the usual culprit.

⚠ Three drops of essential oil, no more

More than three drops of essential oil in Atomiser Spray Bottle can clog or damage the pump mechanism. Stick to three drops maximum and shake well after adding.

Essential oils do not naturally dissolve in a water-based cleaner, so mix thoroughly rather than adding more.

✓ Also worth checking

Universal Cleaner should be used undiluted. Diluting it, or filling the bottle with a thicker liquid, affects spray performance.

✓ Weak spray

The pump may not be primed. Pump the trigger several times to build pressure, and check the nozzle is turned to the on position.

✓ Leaks or drips

Turn the nozzle fully off when the bottle is not in use, store it upright, and avoid over-tightening the pump.

Check the bottle and trigger for cracks or damage.

✓ Stops when tilted

A weighted ball at the end of the internal tube lets the Atomiser spray at any angle. Shake the bottle gently so the ball moves freely and check the tube is securely attached inside.

✓ Try once more

Repeat the warm water soak and flush, checking the internal tube is seated correctly in the head before you reassemble.
