How do I use Bathroom & Shower Cleaner?Updated 11 days ago

TL;DR: Spray Bathroom & Shower Cleaner onto the surface, spread the foam with a damp cloth or mitt, let it sit a few minutes to break down grime, scrub stubborn soap scum with the Ultra Pro Bathroom Mitt, then rinse with water. More dwell time means less scrubbing.

How do I use Bathroom & Shower Cleaner?

Spray Bathroom and Shower Cleaner directly onto the surface. Spread the foam evenly with a damp cloth or mitt so the formula has full surface contact. Let it sit for a few minutes, up to 10 minutes for heavy soap scum or limescale build-up, to break down dirt, soap scum and body oils. Scrub any remaining grime with the Ultra Pro Bathroom Mitt, then rinse clean with water. More dwell time means less scrubbing. For weekly maintenance you can skip the scrub: spray, wait, wipe.

✓ Five-step method

1

Spray the foam. Spray Bathroom & Shower Cleaner directly onto the surface. Cover the full area.

2

Spread it evenly. Use a slightly dampened cloth, sponge or the soft side of the Ultra Pro Bathroom Mitt so every part of the surface has contact.

3

Let it sit. A few minutes for light maintenance, up to 10 minutes for heavier soap scum or build-up. The enzymes and surfactants need time to work.

4

Scrub tough grime. For hardened soap scum, limescale or textured surfaces, scrub with the striped side of the Ultra Pro Bathroom Mitt.

5

Rinse clean. Rinse with water for a streak-free finish on screens, tiles and tapware.

How long should I let it sit?

A few minutes for everyday maintenance cleaning. For heavier soap scum, limescale, or a bathroom that has not been cleaned in a while, leave the foam on for up to 10 minutes. Do not let it dry out fully; re-spray if needed. Longer dwell time gives the formula more time to break down grime, so you scrub less. Roughly 2 to 3 minutes for weekly maintenance, around 5 minutes for moderate soap scum, and up to 10 minutes for heavy build-up.

✓ Dwell time by soiling level

Weekly maintenance: 2 to 3 minutes. Moderate soap scum: 5 minutes. Heavy build-up or limescale: up to 10 minutes. Don't let the foam dry out fully. Re-spray if it starts to.

What bathroom surfaces can I use it on?

Bathroom and Shower Cleaner has a relatively neutral pH of 8, which makes it compatible with most surfaces commonly found in bathrooms. It is especially effective on tiles and glass. It also suits bathtubs, basins, taps, shower trays, fibreglass, acrylic, stainless steel, chrome and glazed ceramic. For unique or delicate materials, always spot test first in an inconspicuous area to check compatibility and avoid surface damage.

How often should I use it?

Once a week for maintenance cleaning prevents build-up and keeps the bathroom consistently fresh. For shower screens specifically, a quick spray and wipe after use stops soap scum from ever hardening in the first place. In an average home, one 1.8L pack lasts around six months.
