How do I use the Dusting Mitt for best results?Updated 3 days ago

TL;DR: Slip Dusting Mitt on your hand, glide it over surfaces in long smooth strokes to lift dust, then shake or rinse it clean between rooms. The soft chenille fibres trap dust and hold it rather than spreading it around, so no cleaning spray is needed. Works on shelves, blinds, screens, and furniture. Work top to bottom so stray dust falls onto surfaces you still have to clean.

How do I use Dusting Mitt?

Slip your hand into the Dusting Mitt and gently wipe it across surfaces in long, smooth strokes to pick up dust, dirt, and debris. The soft, fluffy fibres trap dust and hold it rather than spreading it around. Work top to bottom, and shake the mitt out, or rinse it lightly under cold water, between rooms before storing.

Step by step

1

Slip it on. Slide your hand into the mitt with the soft chenille side facing the surface.

2

Glide, don't scrub. Use gentle, sweeping strokes. The soft fibres pull dust into the mitt instead of pushing it back into the air.

3

Work top to bottom. Start with higher shelves, frames, and fittings, and finish on lower surfaces so any stray dust falls somewhere you still have to clean.

4

Shake or rinse between rooms. Step outside or over a bin and flick the mitt. For heavier build-up, rinse under cold water and air-dry flat.

✓ Why it works

The soft, dense chenille pile traps dust and holds it in the fibres rather than pushing it back into the air, so dusting lifts particles instead of shuffling them around. That makes a real difference on skirting, blinds, and shelves where a traditional duster mostly redistributes dust. The fabric behind that is covered in what it is made from.

Do I need to spray anything on Dusting Mitt?

No spray is needed for most dusting. Use the mitt dry on shelves, blinds, picture frames, screens, skirting, and pet hair. For sticky spots like fingerprints or kitchen grease dust, lightly mist the mitt, not the surface, with water or Koh Universal Cleaner. Never soak the mitt.

✓ Dry (default)

Best for most dusting: shelves, blinds, picture frames, screens, skirting boards, and pet hair pickup. No spray needed.

✓ Light mist (sticky spots)

For fingerprints, kitchen grease dust, or stubborn grime, lightly mist the mitt with water or Universal Cleaner. Spray the mitt, not the surface. Never soak it, and let it dry as set out in how to wash and dry it.

Can I pair Dusting Mitt with other Koh tools?

Yes. Start with Dusting Mitt to capture loose dust on shelves, blinds, screens, and furniture, then use Dusting Mop Pad for floors and hard-to-reach surfaces. The two tools do two distinct jobs in sequence for a cleaner result.

✓ How long it keeps going

Dusting Mitt is tested to withstand up to 50 washes while maintaining its dust-trapping effectiveness, and a shake between uses stretches the gaps between washes. The full picture is in how long it lasts.
