Hold the bottle firmly in one hand and twist the trigger head anti-clockwise. If it feels stiff, press down on the top as you twist; that releases the seal. Once the head is off, fill the bottle to the line, which sits about 1 cm below the shoulder and holds exactly 300 mL. Twist the head back on firmly and prime the pump with two or three pulls.

Two methods work on a stuck Atomiser head. The freeze method: put the bottle in the freezer for five to ten minutes, as the cold contracts the plastic and helps loosen the head. The warm water method: run the head under warm, not hot, water for sixty to ninety seconds, as the slight expansion frees a stubborn air seal. Fill to the marked line only, which leaves enough air in the bottle to prime and spray properly. The bottle holds 300 mL. Add up to three drops of Koh essential oil if you want a scent. Twist the head back on firmly and pump the trigger two or three times to prime. If the mist is weak, keep pumping until the pressure builds.

Twist off the head, soak it in warm water for a few minutes, then reattach and pump the trigger twelve or more times to flush the mist path. Rinsing the pump with warm water every few refills prevents the build-up that causes it in the first place.
