How to use: Atomiser Spray BottleUpdated 9 days ago
TL;DR: Atomiser Spray Bottle is built for Universal Cleaner and nothing else. Twist off the head, fill to the line, prime the pump with two or three pulls, and spray. Half-press for a spritz, full-press for a longer spray, or hold and pump for a continuous mist. Tested to 50,000 sprays.
How do I set up Atomiser Spray Bottle?
✓ Step by step
Twist the trigger head off by turning it anti-clockwise. If it is stiff, press down on the top as you twist.
Fill to the line from your Universal Cleaner bag-in-box. The line sits about 1 cm below the shoulder, exactly 300 mL.
Add up to three drops of Koh essential oil if you want a scent. Stick to Koh oils.
Twist the head back on firmly, then prime the pump by pulling the trigger two or three times until the spray runs steadily.
Spray as needed, choosing the mode that suits the job.
What are the spray modes?
✓ Three modes
Half-press for a quick spritz on small spots and handprints.
Full-press for a longer spray across worktops and glass.
Hold and pump for a continuous, aerosol-style mist over larger surfaces. It keeps spraying for about one to two seconds after your final pull.
✓ Sprays from any angle
A weighted ball sits at the end of the internal tube, so Atomiser Spray Bottle sprays effectively at any angle, even upside down.
If it stops spraying when tilted, shake the bottle gently so the ball moves freely and check the tube is securely attached inside.
Why Universal Cleaner only?
✓ Designed for Universal Cleaner
Universal Cleaner is the only formula Atomiser Spray Bottle is built for. Other Koh products and third-party cleaners can damage the pump mechanism.
Do not dilute Universal Cleaner or use thick liquids, as either will affect how the bottle sprays.
✓ What it is made from
The bottle is polyethylene with a 300 mL capacity, and the trigger head is polypropylene with a stainless steel spring.
The polyethylene bottle is widely recyclable kerbside. The pump is a mixed-material component and is not typically accepted in standard household recycling.
Made in China.
Can I add essential oils?
⚠ Three drops of essential oil, no more
More than three drops of essential oil in Atomiser Spray Bottle can clog or damage the pump mechanism. Stick to three drops maximum and shake well after adding.
Essential oils do not naturally dissolve in a water-based cleaner, so mix thoroughly rather than adding more.
✓ Which oils
Eucalyptus Oil and Lemon Scented Tea Tree Oil are both made to be added to Koh cleaners.
Adjust the number of drops to taste within the three-drop limit. If the scent fades, that is normal; do not compensate by adding more.
How do I keep it working?
✓ Routine care
Rinse the pump with warm water every few refills to prevent build-up.
Store the bottle upright in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme heat.
⚠ If it clogs
Twist off the head and soak it in warm water for a few minutes. Reattach and pump the trigger twelve or more times to flush it through.
A weakening spray is usually essential oil residue in the nozzle. The same warm water soak clears it. Full instructions are in Atomiser Spray Bottle has stopped spraying.
