How to use: Diamond Sponges

Spray Universal Cleaner directly onto the Diamond Sponge to dampen it, then rub gently in a circular motion on the target area. For baked-on grease, spray Universal Cleaner onto the surface first and let it sit for a few minutes before scrubbing. Add more Universal Cleaner as you go, and wipe residue with a clean damp cloth. Repeat as required. Always spot test first and avoid vigorous scrubbing on any finish.

Dampen the sponge. Spray Universal Cleaner directly onto your Diamond Sponge. For baked-on grease, spray the surface too and let it sit for a few minutes.

Rub gently in circles. Apply to the target area with light pressure to start. The silica alumina coating does the work, not your arm.

Wipe and repeat. Spray more Universal Cleaner onto the surface as you go, wipe residue with a clean damp cloth, and repeat as required.

What are Diamond Sponges best used for?

Diamond Sponges are designed for ovens and baked-on grease used with Universal Cleaner, and for general hard-surface scrubbing where regular cloths and sponges cannot shift the build-up. They are a targeted scour block for trouble spots, not an everyday cloth. On glazed surfaces like ceramic or porcelain tile and sinks, the abrasive coating can dull or scratch the glaze, so these need a spot test in a hidden area and light pressure, and are not recommended on high-gloss or polished finishes.

The abrasive coating can dull or scratch glazed ceramic, porcelain tile and porcelain sinks. Not recommended on high-gloss finishes. If you try it, spot test a hidden area first and use the lightest pressure.

Which surfaces should I avoid with Diamond Sponges?

Do not use Diamond Sponge on glass, polished or delicate surfaces. The silica alumina coating is abrasive and will scratch glass, chrome, stainless steel, acrylic, plastic, painted surfaces, polished timber, high-gloss finishes and unsealed stone. Always spot test in a hidden corner before any new surface, use light pressure, and stop immediately if you see any dulling or scratching. Abrasion damage cannot be undone.

Can I reuse Diamond Sponges?

Yes. Diamond Sponges are a reusable abrasive tool, not a disposable wipe. Rinse thoroughly under warm water after each use, squeeze gently without twisting or wringing, and air-dry completely before storing. With that care, expect several weeks of regular use per sponge. Replace it when the abrasive coating feels smooth or the high-density PU foam core starts to shred or crumble.
