Fold each cloth in half and in half again. That gives you four layers and eight usable cleaning faces from a single cloth. Use the cloth dry for dusting, or damp with water or a small amount of cleaning solution for everything else. Move to a fresh face as soon as the one you are using looks soiled, so you are not spreading residue around. Match the colour to the job: green for general cleaning, blue for the bathroom, and white for windows and glass.

Use it damp with water, or with a small amount of cleaning solution, for everyday cleaning. Damp means damp rather than soaked, because too much moisture stops the cloth buffing properly.

Non-scratch is not the same as suitable for everything. On polished, coated, unfinished or unknown surfaces, try the scrubby corner on a small hidden patch before working across the whole area.

Wash the cloths separately from other laundry, at 60 degrees Celsius maximum, with no bleach and no fabric softener, and line dry only. Cared for that way a microfibre cloth lasts up to 3,000 washes. The cloths are 84 per cent polyester and 16 per cent polyamide. Glass Cloths are 300 GSM, and the bathroom and surface cloths are 420 GSM. Made in China.
