Three things to check. Dampen the mitt under warm water before you apply product, because dry microfibre does not lather well. Use the fluffy block-colour side to lather, not the textured striped side. Apply enough Bathroom and Shower Cleaner directly onto the mitt. If the mitt has been used heavily without rinsing, the loops can clog with dried product and stop foaming properly. Run it through a wash cycle and let it dry fully before the next use.

Use less Bathroom and Shower Cleaner with the mitt and cut back on the amount of water you use to foam it up. Foam is not what does the cleaning, dwell time is. If the mitt itself has become clogged with foam, it may need to be washed and dried before you use it again.

Two common causes. First, finish technique: rinse the surface fully to wash away loosened scum and cleaner, then polish with the textured striped side, which is what gives a streak-free shine on tiles and glass. Second, too much Bathroom and Shower Cleaner leaves residue, and the mitt’s absorbent fibres mean a small amount goes a long way. If the mitt is already saturated with foam and cannot dry the surface, rinse the area down and finish with a squeegee or a dry Ultra Pro Cloth, which absorbs more than 11 times its own weight in water.

Damp storage is the most common cause of odour. Rinse the mitt thoroughly after every use to clear all residue, machine wash it on a cool cycle with a mild liquid detergent, then air-dry it completely before storing. Hang it somewhere ventilated rather than tucking it into a closed cupboard while it is still damp. Stickiness usually means trapped product residue, which the same wash cycle clears.

Two main causes. Bleach, fabric softener and dryer sheets coat and weaken the microfibre loops over time, so skip all three, and never iron the mitt, since heat plate contact damages the loops permanently. The other cause is lint clogging: cotton sheds fibres that lodge in the microfibre loops and reduce scrubbing effectiveness. Wash the mitt with non-linting items only, either on its own, with other microfibre cloths, or with synthetic items.

The mitt has an internal stitch that helps keep your hand in place while you clean. You can split your fingers however is most comfortable for you, but we recommend thumb and index finger on one side and the remaining fingers on the other for the best comfort and control.
