Koh Dishwashing Tabs are formulated without the harsh chemicals found in many conventional dishwasher tabs. No phosphates (banned in many regions for their impact on waterways). No chlorine bleach. No fragrance or dyes (common allergen triggers). No optical brighteners. No quaternary ammonium compounds. The formula is fragrance-free and safe for septic and grey water systems.

What's in Dishwashing Tabs?

Koh Dishwashing Tabs contain 10 ingredients. Each is listed below with what it does for your wash. The formula is wrapped in a water-soluble PVA film, so the whole tab goes in the dispenser, no unwrapping needed.

Sodium Percarbonate

Oxygen bleach. Releases hydrogen peroxide on contact with water to lift stains, brighten, and deodorise.

TAED

A bleach activator. Helps lift stains at lower wash temperatures, so eco-cycles still get clean results.

Amylase

An enzyme. Breaks down starches from pasta, rice, potato, and sauces so they rinse away.

Protease

An enzyme. Breaks down protein-based food residue like egg, meat, and dairy so it washes off cleanly.

Sodium Citrate

A water softener. Binds calcium and magnesium in hard water, helping prevent limescale and cloudy spotting on glass.

Sodium Carbonate

An alkaline mineral. Raises wash-water pH so grease and food residue break down faster.

Citric Acid

A descaler. Helps dissolve mineral buildup on dishes and inside the dishwasher itself.

Sodium Silicate

A corrosion inhibitor. Helps protect stainless steel, aluminium, and rubber seals inside your dishwasher.

Polycarboxylates

A dispersant. Keeps loosened food suspended in the wash water so it drains out instead of resettling on dishes.

Sodium Sulfate

A stabiliser. Helps the tab dissolve cleanly through the wash cycle.

PVA Film

A water-soluble film. Used as the outer wrapper that dissolves with the tab in water, also known as PVOH.
