Which weave should I pick: waffle or diamond Tea Towel?Updated 3 days ago

TL;DR: Pick the waffle weave for fast, heavy-duty drying and spill cleanup. Pick the diamond weave for polishing and streak-free finishes on glass and stainless steel. Both Tea Towels are the same 410 GSM microfibre and the same 60 by 40 cm size.

Koh Tea Towels waffle and diamond weave detail

What is the difference between waffle and diamond weave?

Koh Tea Towels come in two weaves. The waffle weave, the darker towel, has a textured surface that holds more moisture, so it is ideal for heavy-duty drying and quick absorption on dishes, pans and worktops. The diamond weave, the lighter towel, has a tighter, smoother surface that gives a streak-free finish, so it is better for polishing glass, mirrors and stainless steel. Both are the same 410 GSM microfibre and both are 60 by 40 cm.

✓ Waffle weave: best for drying

The waffle weave is the darker towel. Its textured surface holds more moisture, so it soaks up spills quickly. Ideal for everyday drying tasks like dishes, pans and worktops.

High absorbency Spill cleanup Dishes and pans

✓ Diamond weave: best for polishing

The diamond weave is the lighter towel. Its tighter, smoother surface gives a streak-free finish on glass, mirrors and stainless steel. Great for polishing and delicate surfaces.

How do I use them together?

Use the waffle weave first, while everything is still wet, to soak up the bulk of the moisture from dishes, pans and worktops. Then use the diamond weave to finish glassware, chrome and any surface where you want a spotless, streak-free result. Both towels are the same 410 GSM microfibre and 60 by 40 cm, and both should be washed separately at a maximum of 40 degrees with no fabric softener, then line dried.

The one-two method

1

Waffle first. Use it while everything is wet, to soak up the bulk of the moisture from dishes, pans and worktops.

2

Diamond to finish. Follow up on glassware, chrome and any surface where you want a spotless, streak-free result. Full technique in how to use Tea Towels.

⚠ Care reminder

Both towels are the same material and size, 410 GSM and 60 by 40 cm, so they wash the same way. Wash separately at a maximum of 40 degrees, with no fabric softener and no bleach, then line dry. Softener coats the microfibre and destroys absorbency. See washing and care.

No fabric softener Max 40 degrees Line dry only
