Why did you discontinue 4L Universal Cleaner?Updated 5 hours ago

TL;DR: Universal Cleaner is available in the UK in one size: a 2L bag-in-box refill. We phased out the 4L size based on customer feedback that it took up too much cupboard space. The 2L bag-in-box is our bulk refill, lasts months of normal household cleaning, and gives you the cupboard space back for other things.

Why did Koh phase out the 4L size?

Koh phased out the 4L Universal Cleaner in the UK based on direct customer feedback. UK customers told us they loved buying in bulk for the value but didn't love how much cupboard space the 4L box took up. The 2L bag-in-box keeps the bulk savings while taking up roughly half the cupboard space, which suits typical UK kitchen storage better. The 2L is our bulk refill size for the UK. The bag-in-box format itself stays the same: airtight, no exposure to air, no waste, no leaking, sits neatly under the sink or in a cupboard.

UK customers loved buying Universal Cleaner in bulk for the value but said the 4L size took up too much cupboard space. We phased 4L out and made 2L the bulk size. Half the cupboard footprint, still months of cleaning per box, same bag-in-box format with no air exposure or leaking.

A 2L Koh Universal Cleaner bag-in-box lasts most households several months of regular cleaning. The exact lifespan depends on how often you clean, how many surfaces you spray each time, and how heavily you use the Atomiser Spray Bottle. As a rough guide, a 2L refill fills the standard Atomiser around 4 to 5 times. Each Atomiser fill typically handles weeks of everyday spray-and-wipe jobs (worktops, hobs, bathrooms, bins, splashbacks, floors, taps). Customers who use Universal Cleaner across the whole home generally restock every 3 to 6 months, depending on household size.
