How do I open the Bag in Box?Updated 17 days ago

To open a Koh Bag in Box, stand it upright on a flat surface and find the perforated panel on the front of the box. Push that panel inward with your fingers and you will see a black tap behind the opening. Peel the silver stop film off the tip of the tap and discard it, as it seals the tap in transit. Pull the tap outward to start the flow and push it back in to stop. Rest the tap against the cardboard edge of the cut-out for stability and aim into your bottle. The bladder stays inside the box throughout, so there is nothing to remove under normal use.

Five Koh UK products come in the Bag in Box format: Universal Cleaner, Bathroom and Shower Cleaner, Kitchen Grease and Oil Cleaner, Dishwashing Liquid, and Sensitive Laundry Liquid. All five use the same pull and push tap behind a perforated front panel, so the instructions on this page apply to every one of them. Sensitive Laundry Sheets, Dishwashing Tabs and Loo Cleaner Tabs are not liquids and do not come in a Bag in Box, so there is no tap or panel to look for on those.

If you push the perforated panel and there is no tap behind it, the bladder has been put into the box the wrong way round during manufacturing. To fix it, open the top of the box. Koh boxes are sealed with glue rather than tape, so pull the top flaps gently to separate the adhesive. Do not use scissors, box cutters or knives, because the bladder is plastic and can be pierced. Lift the bladder out, rotate it so the tap lines up with the perforated panel, and slide it back in. If you would rather not handle the bladder yourself, photograph the box and the bladder and contact the Koh-mmunity Support Team, and we will arrange a replacement.
