The Spray Mop ships in two main pieces: the stainless steel pole, with the handle and trigger on top, and the mop body, which holds the plate and the bottle holster. Also in the box are the refillable 500 ml bottle that snaps into the holster and a 5-pack of premium microfibre mop pads. Assembly is a single push-fit: align the pole over the receiver on the body and press straight down until it clicks. Assembled, the mop stands 1.2 m.

Stand the mop body upright on a flat surface with the plate down and the bottle holster facing forward. Line the lower end of the pole up with the receiver on top of the body, then press straight down with steady pressure until you feel or hear a click. Give the pole a gentle wiggle to confirm it is seated. The trigger on the handle then connects to the spray mechanism inside the body. Assembled, the mop stands 1.2 m.

Hold the mop body steady with one hand on the bottle holster section, then pull the pole straight up with your other hand in a single steady motion. The pole should release cleanly. Most people leave the mop assembled day to day; taking it apart is mainly for transport, moving house, or storing it in a tight cupboard.

Check that the receiver inside the mop body is clear of debris and that the pole is going in straight rather than tilted. If it still will not lock, the connection point may have compressed slightly over time: soak the receiver section in warm water for two to three minutes, then click the pole back in.
