How to put together / take apart the Spray MopUpdated 3 days ago
TL;DR: The Spray Mop ships in two main pieces. Stand the mop body upright, line the pole up with the receiver on top and press straight down until it clicks, then wiggle it to confirm. Assembled, the mop stands 1.2 m. To take it apart, hold the body steady and pull the pole straight up. Two short videos below show both.
How to put together / take apart the Spray Mop
✓ Pole and handle
The stainless steel pole with the ABS handle and spray trigger on top. It is a fixed length and does not need any tools to fit. Assembled, the full mop stands 1.2 m.
✓ Mop body
Holds the swivel plate that takes the mop pad, plus the holster that the bottle clicks into.
✓ Bottle
The refillable 500 ml tank that snaps into the holster on the body. Only fill it with undiluted Universal Cleaner or plain water.
✓ 5 mop pads
Machine washable premium microfibre pads that grip the plate with hook-and-loop. Wash at 40°C or cooler, and do not tumble dry.
How do I put the Spray Mop together?
✓ Three steps
It is a single push-fit. No tools, no screws.
1 Stand the body upright. Plate down, bottle holster facing forward, on a flat surface.
2 Align and press. Line the lower end of the pole up with the receiver on top of the body, then press straight down with steady pressure.
3 Listen for the click. When you feel or hear it click, give the pole a gentle wiggle to confirm it is seated. The finished mop stands 1.2 m.

How do I take the Spray Mop apart for storage?
✓ Two steps
Most people leave the mop assembled day to day. Pulling it apart is mainly for a car boot, moving house, or a tight cupboard.
1 Hold the body steady. One hand on the bottle holster section to anchor it.
2 Pull the pole straight up. Other hand on the pole, pulling upward in a single steady motion. It should release cleanly.

What if the Spray Mop will not click together?
✓ Quick checks
Make sure the receiver inside the body is clear of debris and that the pole is aligned straight, not tilted. A tiny dab of water on the joint can help it slide while seating.
⚠ Still will not click
The connection point may have compressed over time. Soak the receiver section in warm water for two to three minutes, then click the pole back in while it is still warm.
✓ If none of that works
Get in touch and we will help. Depending on what has failed, the fix may be a single spare part rather than a whole new mop. The Spray Mop is covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase, and the full process is in How do I request a replacement Spray Mop or parts for it?.
