How do you wash the Mop Pads?Updated a day ago

TL;DR: Machine wash the green Deep Clean and blue Everyday Mop Pads at a maximum of 40 degrees, and wash the Dusting Mop Pad cold. Use a mild detergent, never fabric softener, and skip the bleach. Air-dry in the shade and never tumble dry. Cared for this way, pads typically last around 200 machine washes.

How do you wash the Mop Pads?

Machine wash the green Deep Clean and blue Everyday Mop Pads at a maximum of 40 degrees. Wash the Dusting Mop Pad in cold water on a gentle cycle. Use a mild detergent and never fabric softener, which coats the microfibre and reduces cleaning performance. Skip bleach too. Do not tumble dry any mop pad. If you notice any colour transfer, wash the pads separately at first.

How to wash

Same principle across all three pads: mild detergent, no softener, no bleach.

1 Temperature. The green Deep Clean and blue Everyday Mop Pads at a maximum of 40°C. Wash the Dusting Mop Pad in cold water on a gentle cycle.

2 Detergent. A mild detergent such as Sensitive Laundry Liquid or Sensitive Laundry Sheets.

3 Colours. The pads come in different colours, so if you notice any colour transfer, wash them separately at first.

⚠ Avoid

Fabric softener coats the microfibre and reduces cleaning performance, so it is the one thing to keep well away from these pads. Skip bleach as well, and do not wash the green or blue wet pads above 40 degrees or the Dusting Mop Pad in anything but cold, since heat shortens pad life.

How should I dry the Mop Pads?

Air-dry mop pads by hanging them or laying them flat in a shaded, airy spot until they are completely dry, then store them dry to prevent musty odours. Do not tumble dry any mop pad and never iron them. Prolonged direct sun can fade the colour, so shade is better than a full-sun line.

⚠ Never tumble dry

The care instruction is air-dry only. Do not tumble dry any mop pad, never iron them, and avoid prolonged direct sun, which can fade the colour.

How long do the Mop Pads last?

With this care routine, mop pads typically last around 200 machine washes. Replace a pad when its cleaning power drops noticeably even after a fresh wash, when the microfibre feels flat or matted rather than plush, when the edges fray or the backing lifts, or when it holds a persistent odour that survives a proper wash.

Reusable and long-lasting

Koh mop pads are premium microfibre and designed to be reused. Washed correctly and air-dried, they typically last around 200 machine washes before they need replacing.

Keeping a spare set helps

A clean dry pad cleans far better than a soiled wet one, so having a few spares on hand means you can swap per room instead of pushing a saturated pad around. Refill packs are available for all three pad types.
