Koh Sensitive Laundry Liquid is compatible with all common wash temperatures from cold through to 90°C. The formula combines enzymes (biological catalysts that break down specific stain types) and surfactants (cleaning agents that lift dirt and oils). Enzymes work best in cool to warm water (10-40°C), which covers cold, eco, and warm cycles on most machines. Above about 50°C they progressively denature and stop working, so on hot cycles the surfactants do most of the cleaning. Cold cycles are great for everyday loads and energy savings. Warm cycles (30-40°C) get the best enzyme performance on protein and oil stains like sweat, food, and body oils. Hot cycles (60-90°C) are best reserved for hygiene loads like towels, bedding, or items that genuinely need sanitising, where the heat itself is doing the work. Always follow the garment care label first, especially for delicates that may need cool water regardless of the detergent.
